I offer one-on-one tutoring for $80/hour, in my office. I do not make house
calls. I also work in groups of two or three kids at a time, where all of them are studying the
same subject matter. Generally, I work with groups of two or three only if the families come to me with a specific
group already in mind. I do not try to put the groups together myself. This is because I have found that groups
only work well if the group consists of kids who feel comfortable working together, and I hardly ever have enough information
to put that kind of group together myself. The rate for that type of arrangement is $60/hour per student.

Flexible,
including evenings and weekends. The most common arrangement is an ongoing, weekly, one hour appointment. However,
other arrangements such as tutoring-as-needed are possible. Tutoring is available through the summer.

"It is
time to thank you for all your hard work and help over the years. For the past five years you have made all the difference
in may academic career. Mathematics has always been something that I have struggled with, but because of you, I have been
so much more successful! I have been to many different tutors for all different subjects, SAT classes and more, and I have
never found somebody that can teach the way you do. You explain material in a way that I can actually understand, and I can't
begin to tell you how important that has been for me. I am not a very quick learner most of the time, and while most people
would get frustrated with me, you are always so patient (or at least you seem like it). I remember the very first time I went
to you, in the 7th grade and I was so mad at my mom because I didn't think I needed a math tutor. I was embarrassed and sad
because I thought I was the only kid that needed a math tutor. As I found out later, I wasn't! After the first few sessions
with you, I began to notice a big difference in my grades. I used to get C's on tests and quizzes as an overall grade, but
after spending one hour a week with you, my grades gradually climbed to B's and even A's. It was such an amazing feeling,
and I owe it all to you. Thank you so much!"
"Throughout
my high school career you have been one of the few people that I could always go to talk to about anything and share my feeling
completely honestly with. I really apprciate you helping me get through math
over the years but even more so, thank you so much for always being there for me."
"Thank
you so much for everything. I couldn't have done it without you. You are amazing."

If you need to cancel your appointment, you must give me 24 hours notice (more
than 24 hours is even better) or you will have to pay the full amount, unless I can fill the space with another student
on short notice. I often do have students waiting in the wings for a last minute cancellation, so if you need to cancel,
it is best if you let me know as soon as possible, to maximize the chance that I can fill the space. The one exception
to the 24 hours notice requirement is in the case of illness or injury. I actually do not want kids coming to my
office when they are sick or injured, so I don't charge for cancellations under those circumstances.

you for continuing to be the graceful connection between our son and math."
"I think,
in spite of herself, this girl is going to college next year. And I have you
in large part to thank for that!"
